A poignant memorial service is set to take place in Clydebank this week to mark the 83rd anniversary of the Blitz.
It will be held at Kilbowie St Andrews Parish Church on Wednesday, March 13 at 11am.
Bankies will gather together to remember those who lost their lives during the air raids conducted by the Luftwaffe on March 14 and March 15, 1941.
It is noted that there will be refreshments available in the nearby Tower Centre after the service.
A statement by Kilbowie St Andrews Parish Church read: "We welcome the local community to join us on Wednesday, March 13, as we pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the Clydebank Blitz 83 years ago.
"The interdenominational service begins at 11am and will be followed by refreshments in the Tower Centre.
"They shall be held in everlasting remembrance."
