A RUGBY club are promoting blood donation at an upcoming event.
Clydebank Rugby Titans have teamed up with the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service to arrange for members to donate over the easter holidays.
The event will take place at the Community Sports Hub on Tuesday, April 2 and Wednesday, April 3.
Ross Douglas, a coach and player at the club, was keen to stress the importance of the blood drive.
He said: "The club has a long history in the area being founded in 1969 and remaining at Dean Street to the present day, in the new community sports hub.
"This history has generated a large extended family connected to the club, always willing to help with events.
"As a part of the community, the club has always endeavoured to donate back. In this regard, the club took the decision to make contact with the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service and arrange for members to donate blood over the easter holidays, as we understand the need for keeping supplies high as you never know when you, a loved one or anyone else may need blood."
Anyone wishing to donate can register at www.scotblood.co.uk or call 0345 90 90 999.
