AN Old Kilpatrick comedian is set to headline the opening night of a new weekly comedy show in Glasgow.
Stephen Buchanan, star of the Some Laugh podcast, will take to the stage at the Glasgow Comedy Club this Saturday (April 6) as the venue launches its latest show, ‘Saturday Night Live’.
The event is taking place at around 7.30pm at Max’s Basement, located within Max’s Bar on Queen Street.
It follows the success of the comedy club’s ‘Best of the Fest’ show which highlighted local talent performing at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival.
Bosses at Max’s Bar said the show, which ran for a second year at the venue, sold out to audiences every week during the annual event.
‘Saturday Night Live’ shows will be put together by resident MC Graham Mackie.
He said: "We are delighted to be bringing a regular, Saturday night event to Max's Basement every week following on from the success of Best of the Fest at the Comedy Festival.
“It's very clear that audiences love the unique, intimate space of Max's Basement that gets them up close and personal with some of the best acts and we're looking forward to making them laugh."
Tickets cost £15 and are available HERE.
