Greggs has opened a 'new and improved' store in Glasgow - creating new jobs for the area.

The bakery chain opened its new store on Anniesland Road in the city's Knightswood area today (Thursday, April 25).

The shop - which was previously located at 740 Anniesland Road - has relocated to a larger unit at 770 Anniesland Road.

It will stock all of Greggs's favourites including sausage rolls, steak bakes, and vegan alternatives.

As part of its opening, two new jobs have been created in the local area.

The stores opening times are: 

  • Monday to Friday - 6.30am until 6.30pm
  • Saturday - 7am to 6,30pm
  • Sunday - 7.30am until 6pm.

Shop Manager Micheal Mumford said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop.

"We’ve got an amazing range of iconic savouries, Fairtrade hot drinks, hot food and healthier choices available for takeaway, sit-in or Click + Collect.”
