One of the UK's largest bus operators will be adding specially created designs to their buses in aid of breastfeeding awareness.
Stagecoach has announced its membership to Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland to celebrate Scottish Breastfeeding Week (June 10 to 14).
The company's local West Scotland buses will feature new internal designs while staff will also receive training on the matter.
Stagecoach premises across Scotland will display the Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland window award in notable places.
The efforts aim to reassure breastfeeding parents that their choices will be respected in Stagecoach environments.
The Breastfeeding (Scotland) Act 2005 makes it an offence to prevent or stop a child under the age of two, who is permitted to be in a public place or licensed premises, from being fed milk in that place or on those premises.
Jacqueline Rowan, Stagecoach's head of marketing for Scotland, said: "We want to ensure every engagement with Stagecoach is a safe and supportive one for parents.
"That’s why having prominent visual symbols inside our buses demonstrating our commitment is so important, as every parent should be assured that their rights to breastfeed will be respected."
