A MAN has been arrested after another was allegedly attacked in Clydebank. 

Officers said they were made aware of a man reportedly having been assaulted in the Kilbowie Road area shortly before 6am on Thursday. 

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. 

Police confirmed a 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged incident. 

Enquiries remain ongoing. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "On Thursday, June 20, 2024, we were made aware of a man having been assaulted around 5.55am in the Kilbowie Road area of Clydebank.

"The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. A 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
