THE grounds of a primary school in Clydebank have been vandalised for the second time in 10 days.

One of the children's play huts and sheds was damaged, with wood stolen from the premises at Kilbowie Primary and Early Learning and Childcare Centre.

We previously reported that the reading hut in the playground of Kilbowie Primary School was set alight on June 28 sparking outrage from locals and officials.

A statement from West Dunbartonshire Council read: "Vandals have broken into the grounds of Kilbowie Primary and Early Learning and Childcare Centre for the second time in 10 days.

"One of the children’s play hut and a shed was damaged and the wood stolen from the premises.

"This mindless act of vandalism of children’s outdoor play equipment is very upsetting.

"CCTV surrounding the building will be shared with Police Scotland to identify the intruders.

"The council’s Anti-Social Behaviour and Neighbourhood Officers, in partnership with Police Scotland will provide additional patrols at this school and we would ask anyone with information to please contact the police on 101."
