A MAN has been seriously assaulted in a street in Clydebank.
Police said the 43 year-old was in the Whitecrook area of the town on Sunday morning around 4.30am.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
A 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released pending further enquiries.

Police are now appealing for information to help with their investigation.
Detective Constable, Rachael Mersey, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened and we are appealing for help.
“Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened is asked to get in touch.
“We are also asking people to check their CCTV and if they have captured anything that could assist with our investigation then to please make contact with officers.”
