STAFF at a centre for adults with additional support needs in Drumchapel insist it is vital to engage with the local community.
Antonine Court recently held an open day to raise funds for activities and equipment.
The centre aims to provide the highest level of care and support to educate and enable adults with varying abilities and their families to reach their full potential within their own goals and aspirations.
And Anne McKenna, assistant manager at the Antonine, detailed the different things that were on offer at the event.
"We had a hair-braiding stall which was operated by staff and one of the service users, Carly Barnett," she said.
"That was great and we are really proud as she put a lot of work in during the lead up to the event.
"We also sold self-made keyrings are other accessories that were created by the service users.
"All the money raised will go back into the centre to help fund activities and buy equipment.
"It was held in conjunction with G15 Thriving Places and we wanted to open our centre to the community so people could come in and see what we do."

Local artist Ian McKay also had his paintings on display at the event.
And Anne explained how vital it is to engage with the community.
"The staff really enjoyed the event, they put so much into their roles and to come in on their day off was an amazing effort from everyone involved.
"Families and carers were also in attendance. It was really rewarding to see the service users enjoying themselves and achieving their outcomes.
"It is great to see their confidence grow."
