1. Pupils helped with school transition
Former justice secretary Kenny MacAskill visited the Tullochan trust to see a clever scheme helping Whitecrook Primary pupils.
Go4ward, a project which helped students make the leap from primary to secondary school, received £34,400 in 2009.
2. Fire station becomes marrow clinic
Bankies were queuing up to offer a lifeline to people waiting on bone marrow transplants at a pioneering clinic held at Clydebank Fire Station.
3. Kids are in for a fright
Children visiting Dalmuir Library were in for a fright when they came face to face with a snake. Luckily the slippery character was part of the library’s zoo lab.

4. Camera club
A historic Clydebank Camera Club moved out of the dark room and into the 21st century by holding a digital photography exhibition.
5. Supermarket scales new heights
Asda in Clydebank added a second floor to their store.
