1. Pupils helped with school transition

(Image: Archives) Former justice secretary Kenny MacAskill visited the Tullochan trust to see a clever scheme helping Whitecrook Primary pupils.

Go4ward, a project which helped students make the leap from primary to secondary school, received £34,400 in 2009.

2. Fire station becomes marrow clinic

(Image: Archives) Bankies were queuing up to offer a lifeline to people waiting on bone marrow transplants at a pioneering clinic held at Clydebank Fire Station.

3. Kids are in for a fright

(Image: Archives) Children visiting Dalmuir Library were in for a fright when they came face to face with a snake. Luckily the slippery character was part of the library’s zoo lab.

4. Camera club

5. Supermarket scales new heights
