Cops are hunting for a nicked motorbike and its riders after it was spotted in Glasgow last night.

Police say they received a report of a sighting of a stolen motorbike in the city at around 7.45pm on Monday, July 29.

Officers then carried out several searches in the Drumchapel, Knightswood, and Maryhill areas.

However, the force has since revealed they were unable to track down the pinched bike along with its riders.

During the situation, several residents took to social media to reveal a police helicopter was in Knightswood as well as several cop cars.

One said: "Wonder what's happening up at Western train station - there's a police helicopter and a few police cars."

Another added: "The helicopter has been hovering for ages."

An investigation into the stolen motorbike is underway, police have confirmed.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 7.45pm on Monday, July 29, 2024, we received a report of a sighting of a stolen motorbike.

“A number of enquiries and searches were carried out in the Drumchapel, Knightswood and Maryhill area, however, the vehicle and its riders have not yet been traced.

“Enquiries continue.”
