ScotRail has expanded its mTickets service, now offering season tickets and Flexipass through its mobile app.
The popular ticketing products can now be bought, stored, and used through the ScotRail app.
The expansion aligns with ScotRail's promotion of greener and more sustainable travel options.
Now, customers can buy tickets from their homes, or while commuting to the station, making the tickets readily available on their smartphones.
To purchase tickets through the app, users simply need to select 'mobile' as their delivery method, prompting immediate availability.
Before starting a journey, they need to activate the barcode within the app, which is then shown to staff or scanned at ticket gates.
Flexipass holders can view their remaining journeys and expiration dates under the 'My Tickets' segment of the app.
Meanwhile, season ticket holders using a mTicket can forgo a physical photocard as a digital photo can be stored in the app instead.
Claire Dickie, commercial director of ScotRail, said: "This is another positive step forward for our customers, and offers additional opportunities for them to join us in going digital, and supporting greener travel.
"With mTickets, customers can plan, buy and travel using the app on their smart phone, removing the need to print off tickets, enhancing our green credentials.
"Customers can also access live journey information on the move via the app, which means travelling by train has never been easier."
