CLYDEBANK Musical Society (CMS) is setting the wheels in motion for its next big production.

The group, based on Duntocher Road, will be putting on 'All Shook Up' from March 19-23 next year at Clydebank Town Hall.

We previously reported on the organisation's version of 'Legally Blonde' which took place earlier this year.

And CMS is now gearing up to celebrate the music of Elvis Presley.

Kevin Rodgers, chairman of the group, opened up on the process of deciding which musical to choose from.

"This is the third time the club has done this show, previously doing it with the adult group 10 years ago," he said.

"When we come to choose the shows we look at what sort of feedback we have had in the past and what would sell to the audience in the area.

"It is a popular show that a lot of people will come and see regardless of whether they know about CMS or not.

"The script and music are great, it is not specifically based on Elvis himself, it is a separate story with the music surrounding it."

The CMS is also putting on two other productions between now and the end of the year, with the group's junior section involved in '13 The Musical' between October 23 and 26 as well as the minis section taking part in 'Matilda' on November 12 and 13.

"We are busier than we have ever been," he said. "When everyone comes back from summer on Monday, August 12, three sections will be working simultaneously.

"We are kept going but it is really rewarding when everything comes together.

"Our team is amazing and we work really hard to pull everything together.

"We will also be holding our annual fundraiser on September 21 and that will help to raise money for the production as well."

The first dance workshop for 'All Shook Up' takes place on August 20, with an information night then being held on August 27 and principal auditions pencilled in for the start of September at CMS Premises [Red Huts, bottom of Duntocher Road].

Kevin insists there has already been plenty of interest in the production.

"We launched the tickets two weeks ago, which we never usually do so far in advance and the feedback has been really positive," the 29-year-old added.

"We have also had plenty of interest from people wanting to take part in the show.

"It is a really exciting time."
