Dozens of newbuild houses in Clydebank are on track to be handed over to residents.
The 88 homes in Clydebank East are part of West Dunbartonshire Council’s new building programme which began in January 2023.
The houses are designed to the latest accessibility standards, will include nine fully wheelchair-friendly properties and will sport a mixture of one, two, three, four and five-bedroom properties.
The four and five-bedroom homes will have ground-floor double bedrooms.

As part of the wider development of the Clydebank Gap Site strategy, council officers have also identified a vacant site in the Hardgate area at Gilmour Avenue subject to flytipping issues for several years.
A proposed development for two three bed semi-detached homes to be delivered using modular construction methods has been approved and the houses should be completed in October.
During this morning’s housing and communities committee Councillor Lawrence O’Neil asked for an update on both developments.
He said: “Can I start with Clydebank East which is coming along very well. Can we get an update on what the pre-allocation process is in terms of those bigger houses and those which are required for wheelchair access?
“Secondly in terms of the gapsite at Gilmour Avenue, the estimated completion date is autumn 2024 – is there going to be a change to that given that we are in August 2024 just now?”
It was confirmed that both projects were on track to be completed on time.
Peter Barry, chief officer of housing and employability, said: “On the Gilmour Avenue development – it’s a modular-based housing type and is a six-week build. Although we were later in starting, we still anticipate being close to the target date which is October, so we are confident in that one.
“There is nothing certain in this world but we are confident that it is going to go forward.
"On the allocation of lettings [at Clydebank East] the process has started and it will be done in a staggered way.
“We are not going to prescribe all the properties at the one time, but the process has started and I am confident that it is under control.”
