A CLYDEBANK garage has raised money for a great cause.

Nine staff members from Elite Land Rover, based on South Douglas Street, took part in the Tough Mudder event back in June at Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries and Galloway to generate funds for St Margaret's Hospice.

Owner Paul Griffiths along with Martin Kane, Shawn Lota, Davie Rocks, Tom Hume, Demi Lee Stewart, Siobhan McLaughlin, Jamie Archer, Jay Bonner and Brian McNab raised a total of £1045.88 for the charity.

The circuit involved a 10-mile run through an obstacle course in muddy conditions.

Brian previously opened up on the importance of the fundraiser.

He said: "We decided to do this back in January and wanted to give something back to the community.

"St Margaret's Hospice is only five minutes away from the garage and as a local business it feels right to help out an organisation that does so much for those in need."

The charity also thanked the garage staff who took part in the event on social media.

Writing on Facebook, they said: "We are incredibly grateful for the wonderful support from ELITE Clydebank!

"Paul Griffiths, the owner, chose the Hospice as the beneficiary, recognising the vital work we do right here in the community.

"We are touched by their thoughtfulness and local support.

"The Elite Landrover crew put in a tremendous effort, pushing themselves to the limit for our cause.

"Every penny raised will make a real difference to the lives of our patients and their families."
