A gift shop in Duntocher celebrated its 20th anniversary by hosting a tea party and raising money for charity.

Gingerbread Dreams on Dumbarton Road was opened by Suzie McSwiggan after she saw the empty shop several years ago.

Having a passion for crafting Suzie bought the store and opened her own gift shop selling personalised plaques, candles and home decor.

To celebrate the longevity of her store, Gingerbread Dreams threw a tea party and decided to simultaneously fundraise for MacMillan Cancer Support.

Holly said: "My mum has always been a crafter. When we were little she made all our Halloween costumes and communion outfits.

"Then there was a wee shop going for sale down in Duntocher which had been lying empty for years.

"Then she just said 'I'm going to have that and make it into a craft and gift shop.'

"Now it's been 20 years. We were having an afternoon tea party and everybody's unfortunately been affected by someone having cancer.

"So it was close to my mum's heart this charity.

"She's made a big gift hamper up and we're actually at the moment getting everybody's names together for the raffle. So far we have made over £800."
