1. Twins born outside a nightclub celebrated their 10th birthday
In 2009, Angela Fleming and Danny Kirkwood were remembering the events that led up to the birth of their twins. Dillion and Daniel were born in the back of a taxi outside club, the Boulevard, with help from a nearby Pizza Hut worker. The ten years old twins were attending Clydemuir Primary in Dalmuir.
2. Boy invited on celeb mountain quest in order to help cases of MS
Drumchapel boy, Ryan was invited to join a group of Scottish celebs to conquer Africa's highest mountain after marching on Parliament. Ryan was campaigning for vitamin D to be given to all pregnant women and young children in a bid to dramatically cut cases of Multiple Sclerosis.
3. School introduces hair straighteners to boost PE numbers
Clydebank High tried to address the falling number of girls in PE by installing hair straighteners. Nine sets of the hair tool was given to the area's three flagship schools.
4. The education secretary visited Gavinburn Primary in Old Kilpatrick.
Fiona Hyslop visited the school to examine some recent initiatives. She said: "All children deserve the best start in life and the Scottish Government has made early intervention a key focus."
5. A Faifley nursery earned special status
Lennox Nursery invited parents to enjoy their celebration of earning its green flag status. The award recognised the nursery's work in promoting eco-friendly ideas.
6. Pupils take part in the Great Scottish Run
Corpus Christi Primary in Knightswood had 52 pupils run the 2009 Great Scottish Run. They proudly showed off their medals.
