JOIN us as we take a trip down memory lane to reminisce about what was happening in Clydebank fifteen years ago.

We have delved into the Post’s archives to pick out some stories from more than ten years ago.

Here are some photographs from our edition published on October 7, 2009.

Do you remember any of these stories or spot any familiar faces?

1. Hitting the heights of comedy heroes

(Image: Archives) Rob Kane delivered a side-splitting routine at The Stand in Glasgow in 2009 outshining more experienced acts on the bill.

The joker, who had been stalking the comedy circuit for the previous three years, steeps his act in his Drumchapel heritage from the very start, giving his material a sense of place alongside his razor-sharp wit.

He hoped to follow in the footsteps of Kevin Bridges.

2. Pupils celebrate school success

(Image: Archives) Pupils and teachers celebrated success after inspectors praised their school.

Kilpatrick School in Mountblow, which is attended by children with various disabilities, was singled out for use of interactive technology and for putting together a sexual health website.

3. Express cheque

(Image: Archives) Staff at a ladies' gym in the area got their running shoes on to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research.

The women at Ladies Workout Express, in Old Kilpatrick, took part in a 10k, and last week handed over a cheque for £1,214 to Elsie Riley from the charity.

4. Walkers raise cash for hospital

(Image: Archives) A troupe of charity walkers set off across the town in fancy dress tomorrow to raise cash for Yorkhill Children’s Hospital.

The big-hearted group is from the Health and Social Care course at Clydebank College and they were looking to raise as much as possible for the good cause.

5. Football match generates funds for great cause
