1. Nicola Sturgeon visits £57 million home building

(Image: Archives) The then deputy first minister Nicola Sturgeon visited work on a £57 social housing project. 147 homes were to be built in Drumchapel, Knightswood, Yoker and Pollok in the Southside.

2. Lecturers attend the MOBO awards

(Image: Archives) Clydebank college lecturers and students attended the MOBO awards hosted at the SECC. Make-up lecturers and accompanying students provided hair and make-up for the celebrities. 

3.  Clydebank production features 'zombies'

(Image: Archives) Clydebank Musical Society (CMS) juniors section performed 'Zombie Prom' a ghoulish production at Clydebank Town Hall. Theatrical kids from 10 to 18 performed in October 2009.

4. Dance dressmaker wins local hero competition

(Image: Archives) Marie Brown was selected as ASDA Clydebank's local hero after being nominated by her daughter Claire. Marie does administrative jobs at her daughter's dance school and makes all of the children's costumes.

5.  Tots get taught cheerleading at a local school

(Image: Archives) Pupils at St Mary's Primary in Duntocher got the chance to have a go at cheerleading. The Primary ones and Primary twos had a chance to shake some pom poms and learn some moves.

6. Primary school tries some health treats 

(Image: Archives) Children at Knightswood Primary were given some health treats instead of their usual tuck shop. The Fruity Express trolley brought them fruit dishes for 30p.
