Clydebank will miss out on their fireworks display as no group has come forward to host it after the council cut the event.
This year's display will take place in Levengrove Park in Dumbarton from 7pm - 9pm on Tuesday, November 5.
The display will commence at 7.30pm and a small children's fun fair will be available on the night.
The project is being funded by the Dumbarton Common Good Fund as the council faces 'significant financial pressures'.
The Clydebank display which took place in Dalmuir Park was axed following a decision in December 2022 and the council said it would support any other organisation that wished to host it.
However, the council has said no one came forward.
Locals are instead being invited to the event in Dumbarton as it is at no cost to the council and is instead funded by the Dumbarton Common Good Fund.
Many residents have taken to social media to express their dismay at the elack of an event in Clydebank.
One user commented: "None for Dalmuir Park. Shocking."
Another said: "Was in Dumbarton last year so should it not be Dalmuir Park this year?"
Responding to upset residents on social media, a spokesperson for the council said: "In order to address the significant financial pressures faced by the council, it was agreed at a budget meeting in December 2022 to cease provision of the Clydebank fireworks display and instead support any community group which wished to organise an independent event to access funding to do so.
"To date, no groups have expressed an interest in doing this.
"West Dunbartonshire Council is continuing to host one fireworks event in the area and invites all residents to enjoy the display.
"The West Dunbartonshire fireworks display in Dumbarton is funded in its entirety by the Dumbarton Common Good Fund and therefore does not incur a cost to the Council."
Road closures will be in place on the night at Bridge Street between High Street and Woodyard Road.
The council advises visitors to use public transport due to limited parking near the event. It also asks any driver to adhere to the parking restrictions in place.
