A trio of suspects in a shooting in Glasgow fled to Clydebank and torched their getaway car.
Cops were called to a premises on Drumoyne Road in Govan on Friday, October 25 after a report that a gun was fired.
A 52-year-old man was rushed to hospital and is in stable condition.
The force is treating the incident as a targeted act and an attempted murder.
Originally officers were on the hunt for two men who fled the scene, but now they are after three men.
They left the area in a dark-coloured Ford Fiesta and travelled onto the A739 to the Clyde Tunnel.
Next, they headed to Cochno Road in Clydebank using the A82 Great Western Road and Glasgow Road.
This car was later found burnt out in a wooded area near Cochno Road.
Detectives are calling on anyone who saw the men or the car in the area at the time to come forward.
They also believe the men could have been in the Govan and Faifley areas in the days before the shooting.
Detective Sergeant Laura Roberts said: “We believe they walked through the wooded area near Cochno Road and onto Faifley Road.
“The three men were seen shortly after 5pm, walking south on Faifley Road.
“I am appealing for anyone who was in this area between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm on Friday, October 25, 2024 and saw three men acting suspiciously to contact us.
“It is also possible that they were in Drumoyne Road and the Faifley area of Clydebank in the days leading up to this incident.
“This area is popular with walkers, runners and dog walkers, I am asking anyone who was in this area on Friday afternoon to think back and consider if they saw anything unusual.
“Two of the men were wearing dark clothing and the third was wearing a lighter-blue tracksuit. They were all of medium build and had their hoods up.”
Anyone with CCTV or dashcam from this time is also asked to review it and call police with anything which may prove vital to the investigation.
Detective Sergeant Roberts added: “No matter how small it may seem, the information you hold could be key to our investigation.
“We believe this was a targeted incident and there is not thought to be any wider risk to the public.
“As well as enquiries, including door-to-door and CCTV work, extra patrols are also being carried out.
“Anyone with concerns or information can speak to officers, contact Police Scotland via 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 2466 of Friday, October 25, 2024.”
