Halloween Star Oli Keenan wowed trick-or-treaters for his sixth year as he dawned a black dress and green paint to become the Wicked Witch from the West.

Joined by his family, Oli had Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Lion and the Scarecrow accompany him as the cast of The Wizard of Oz as they entertained the large crowds that gathered on their street in Linnvale.

Kids, dressed in their costumes, were arriving while the sun was still up to catch a glimpse of the display set in Oli's parents' front garden handcrafted to look like the Emerald City.

"Somebody dropped a house on my sister. They crushed her, she’s dead. Do you want to know why? - to get her shoes!"

The home on Dalton Avenue has become a staple for any nearby trick-or-treater and this year Oli amped up his costume with prosthetics made and shipped from Germany.

Last night, he said: "I love The Wizard of Oz, it has been one of my favourite films since I was tiny. Last year we did Alice in Wonderland and I already had the Wizard of Oz in my head then.

"I always have to think about how I will decorate this and who can be in it. I thought I could be a horrible green witch – I do that every day anyway.

"Tonight has been mad, there are a gazillion million people here but it is good fun.

"I have full prosthetics on my face. I don’t know how I am getting them off because they are glued on. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

"I might just stay like this forever. I am working at 8 am but I work from home so if I still look like this it's fine."

Oli was asked about his ideas for next year as he regularly plans a year in advance - however, he may need some help for his 2025 Hallowe'en house.

He added: "I actually haven't thought about it. Usually after a few weeks something pops into my head but I don’t know yet. When one Halloween ends the other one starts.

"It'll be fun and I'll make a fool of myself somehow."
