1. A LUCKY trio celebrated an unexpected bonus with prizes in the Postcode Lottery.
The Drumry residents pocketed £8,334 each after the People’s Postcode Lottery Street Prize pulled out the code G81 2PD — Montrose Street.
2. Hero doctor who saved an unborn baby was honoured
Dr Kevin Hanretty was put forward by grateful parents Eileen and Raymond Carruth after his quick thinking and dedicated actions ensured baby Amy survived being born 10 weeks premature.
3. A campaign to end violence against women gained local support
Men from the Kingsway area of Scotstoun wore white ribbons from November 25 to December 10 to show support for the ‘16 Days of Action'.
4. Kids are given artwork award at a ceremony
Some local kids were awarded with a special ceremony for their 'outstanding artistic talent'.
5. Local kids tried their hand at some rugby
A session of touch rugby by Jhonny Beatties and Chris Patterson at the play drome gave the kids a taste of Murrayfield.
6. Pupils at Kilbowie Primary raised money for Children In Need
The youngsters at the West Thomson Street school sold cakes, held an assault course and had a raffle for a hand-knitted Pudsey.
