Clydebank Christmas light switch-on 'busiest it's ever been'

Hundreds of locals gathered at the Clyde Shopping Centre on Saturday, November 16 to welcome in the festive season with performances from special guests and the official Christmas light switch-on by the one and only Santa Claus.

Several attendees remarked on the size of the crowds that gathered. Go Radio host Crofty addressed the gathering calling the event 'the busiest it's ever been'.

Another commented: "We had a brilliant day. My boys are chuffed to bits to have seen Nathan Evans live."

Singer, Nathan Evans, most known for his sea shanty the Wellerman took to the stage as the headline act performing his hits including music from his latest album 1994.

(Image: Clyde Shopping Centre) Presenters from Go Radio hosted the event and as the sky started to darken they invited Santa Claus onto the stage for the main event.
