Dancers, superheroes, singers and Father Christmas took to the stage this weekend to kick off Christmas in Clydebank with the official light switch-on.
Hundreds of locals gathered at the Clyde Shopping Centre on Saturday, November 16 to welcome in the festive season with performances from special guests and the official Christmas light switch-on by the one and only Santa Claus.
Several attendees remarked on the size of the crowds that gathered. Go Radio host Crofty addressed the gathering calling the event 'the busiest it's ever been'.
Commenting on social media after the event, one visitor said: "It was the busiest it’s been in a long time."
Another commented: "We had a brilliant day. My boys are chuffed to bits to have seen Nathan Evans live."
Singer, Nathan Evans, most known for his sea shanty the Wellerman took to the stage as the headline act performing his hits including music from his latest album 1994.
Pupils from Laura Gray School of Dance showed the crowd their moves with dance routines to festive tunes including Ariana Grande's Santa Tell Me.
A powerful performance by the Central Superheroes entertained the crowds as Spiderman, Captain America, Deadpool, the Hulk and Batman showed off their supernatural talents.
Presenters from Go Radio hosted the event and as the sky started to darken they invited Santa Claus onto the stage for the main event.
Shoppers were also able to get their face painted or have a balloon modeller for them through pop-up activities on the day.
