1. Man braved the shave for good cause
Ian McGregor sacrificed his locks at Jo and Co hairdressers where he managed to raise £2,000 for Cash for Kids.
2. Local rock group were looking for their big break
The Black Velveteens, which included two Bankies, a Knightswood bassist and a front-man from Drumchapel, were interviewed under the banner ‘New and Unsigned’ by NME.
3. Primary school perform annual nativity
Camstradden Primary in Drumchapel was lit up with festive cheer as the school put on its annual nativity play.
4. Special treat for hero's family
A family who will be without their deployed soldier dad this Christmas were treated like stars after winning a make-over courtesy of the Clydebank Post and ASDA.
5. Whitecrook Primary put on their Christmas show
The pupils staged a production called Miracle Child which was based on the Christmas story.
6. Alexander's Bar staff raise money for charity
They held a charity night in October with sponsored head shaves, tombola and raffles, and managed to raise £1,640 for Yorkhill Children’s Hospital.
