A MAN has been arrested after he was allegedly caught drunk driving on a major road.
Officers from Police Scotland’s road policing unit stopped the motorist on Great Western Road [A82] in Blairdardie at around 10.30am on Monday during a routine patrol.
Cops confirmed a 52-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident.
He has been reported to the procurator fiscal and is expected to appear in court at a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 52-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with this and was released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.”
