I was extremely upset when attending the Clydebank Senior Forum Hustings to find that when I asked the Labour candidate, Des McNulty, whether he had changed his mind on the war on Iraq, and agreed with Ed Milliband. his response was he had always been against the war.
I was taken aback by this statement as on a previous Forum Hustings, when I raised this issue with Mr McNulty, he defended Tony Blair and the war in Iraq.
Des McNulty voted twice in the Scottish Parliament for the war in Iraq, along with his Labour colleagues on Thursday January 16 2003 and Thursday March 13 2003.
Now he claims the exact opposite to what he has actually done.
I hope you will consider giving an apology to those who simply asked a straightforward question at the Hustings.
