Clydebank First XV welcomed Dalziel to the Sports Hub on Saturday, October 5, but with a number of regulars missing.
Once again Clydebank Titans provided a guard of honour and mascot who was Eilidh Haggerty for this match.
Bankies just couldn’t get firing at all and with Dalziel having a very good forwards pack providing a good platform it was a long first half.
The only bright spot was a searing break by coach Robin Coates but this was stopped just short of the try line.
The half-time score came to 0-10 for Dalziel.
The second half got going the same way with Dalziel scoring a third try to go 0-17 with their conversion.
As the game was petering out, Bankies appeared to gain a new lease of life with Calum Smith scoring a try under the posts with Joe Ross converting.
This appeared to stun Dalziel who were now under pressure in their own 22, giving away a kickable penalty which Joe Ross converted for three points which gave Bankies a losing bonus point.
The final score was Clydebank 10 - Dalziel 17.
