Clydebank Rugby Club and Clydebank Titans enjoyed a fantastic weekend of rugby with their ‘Super Saturday’ event proving to be a hit.
With the first XV, second XV and the young Titans will all taking to the field at Clydebank Community Sport Hub on Saturday afternoon, it was a day to remember for the club.
Saturday’s first match up saw the Bankies second XV play host to Hillhead Jordanhill in what turned out to be a low key affair with the hosts eventually losing out in a narrow 15-10 loss with Clydebank tries coming from Euan Cuthbert.
Next up, the Titans had chance to shine against Uddingston with the P1 to P7 youngsters all getting a good run out in front of a big crowd.
The P1-P3 Titans side took to the field first in a larger format of the 8-a-side game that they’re used to with the boys all enjoying a high scoring match with Charlie Black, Aaron Donnelly, Ryan Kerr and Coby Lister all impressing.

The P6-P7 team were up against an experienced Uddingston age group as they dug in to clinch a well-deserved 10-9 win with Kian Hosie and Malakia Madziva scoring five tries each.
Completing the action-packed afternoon, Clydebank’s senior first XV lined up against Uddy with Titans youngster Charlie Black leading them out as mascot for the day.
Bankies continued to build on recent improvements in what turned out be an emphatic win with a ruthless attack and a resolute defence helping them on their way to a deserved and convincing 41-10 victory.
Doubles from Robin Coates, Calum Smith and David Kirkwood, an effort from Campbell Cowie and three conversions from Coates made for a comprehensive win and a great end to a super weekend of rugby.
Elsewhere, Clydebank’s S1 and S2 boys kicked off a big weekend for the club with an incredibly tight 42-39 victory under the floodlights on Friday against an experienced Paisley side.
