Clydebank manager Gordon Moffat insists he won’t get carried away despite his side moving five points clear at the top of the West of Scotland Football League Premier Division on Saturday.
The Bankies made it six wins from six and maintained their perfect start to the season with a 3-1 win at Johnstone Burgh in a top-of-the-table clash at Keanie Park.
Captain Nicky Little was the hero for the away side with a brace – the 39th time he has scored two or more goals in the same in a Clydebank jersey.
He stroked home a rebound on the stroke of half-time after Lee Gallacher’s shot had been kept out and rose highest to slam in a header just after the hour to double his side's lead.

Dean Cairns curled in a beauty a few minutes later to put the visitors in a comfortable position and despite Danny O’Neill’s late header for Burgh, the three points headed back to Holm Park.
Moff believes his side managed the game superbly by finding the net at key times and standing up to defend when called upon as he urged his troops to continue to build on their faultless start.
Speaking to the Post, he said: “I likened it to the Gartcairn performance, the early stages of the game were all about feeling each other out.
“We had the better of the chances after that with a chance for Lee Gallacher and a brilliant save to deny Oisin McHugh.
“In the first part of the second half, we were really good and scored a couple of goals and could have scored more had things gone our way.
“The last part of the game was all about seeing the game through with Johnstone Burgh putting on a bit of pressure. It was a really good away performance with goals at the right times.
“In an away game, you’re going to have to do well at both ends and I thought we done both of those things.
“The boys appreciate we are doing well but at the same time, we are still in August so it’s still early days. Once you get to 10-12 games the league starts to shape up and we’re only halfway to that at the moment.
“We’ve got some cup ties coming up and if we were to keep progressing in cups then potentially we would have only one league game between now and November so it’s important when league games come up that we keep adding to our tally.
“Every time we play it’s all about looking to add some points on and we’ll see where we are when things develop.”
The Scottish Cup rolls around for the Bankies this weekend as they welcome St Andrews United to Holm Park in the second preliminary round of the competition.
Moff will be hoping this is the first step on a long journey to create more memories similar to the ones in the 2021/22 season when he took his side to the fourth round of the competition with wins over SPFL sides Elgin City and Clyde.
He believes his troops are well aware of the attention and expectation the Scottish Cup brings – but has also warned them to not take their eye off their East of Scotland Football League opponents.
He added: “The boys are now well accustomed to the occasion that the Scottish Cup brings.
“We’ll do our preparation properly and always have our pre-match meal together.
“St Andrews had a good season last year with promotion and took a scalp last year by knocking out Auchinleck Talbot so they are a good side.
“We had them watched at the weekend so we’ve got full reports and analysis to go through but you also need to perform on the day.”
Kick-off at Holm Park on Saturday is at 3:00pm.
Elsewhere, Yoker Athletic made it five league games without defeat with a five-star showing against Craigmark Burntonians on Saturday.
A brace from Cieran McAneny alongside Robbie Davidson, Dean Farmer and Macaulay McArthur secured a 5-0 win for Gordon Robertson’s side.
The Whe Ho will be looking to extend their run of good form when they visit Lesmahagow on Saturday. Kick-off at Craighead Park is at 2:00pm.
