Clydebank boss Gordon Moffat believes you can see the confidence flowing through his team as they maintained their perfect league start to the season.
Goals from Nicky Low, Dean Cairns, Nicky Little and Ciaran Mulcahy secured a 4-1 win for the Bankies against nine-man Hurlford United at Blair Park to make it seven wins from seven matches in the Premier Division of the West of Scotland Football League.
The visitors raced into an early 2-0 lead thanks to a stunner from Low and a well-timed run and finish from Cairns before Ross Robertson pulled one back for Hurlford.
The hosts were reduced to nine-men before the interval with Robertson dismissed for a challenge on Low and Paul McKenzie was sent off in the aftermath.
The Holm Park side had to be patient in the second period but wrapped things up with headers from Little and Mulcahy in the space of five second-half minutes.
Moff admits getting three points before taking a break from league action was a must and praised the way his troops approached the game against nine-men.

Speaking to the Post, he said: “We knew we were going into a run of cup ties and going to have a break from the league so we wanted to make sure we were going into them on a bit of a high and not stew on the result.
“I asked the boys to go and get the win and if we get a good performance then great and I thought we got both.
“We do a drill at training with seven defenders against ten attackers to break them down and it can be really hard, it’s quite rare the attackers get a goal.
“I said to the boys that this was going to be like our training drill that we have worked on so many times and Hurlford managed to get themselves into a shape so you need to be patient.
“They aren’t just going to let you score so we moved the ball from side to side to fatigue them and bringing on the subs when they are flagging got us over the line.
“Hurlford have been really difficult for us over the years but we went in with a bit of confidence after the form we have been in.
“You can see there is a real confidence amongst the boys and they all trust each other and know where they are going to be. It probably bores the players but we work on patterns quite a lot and where people will be on the park at certain times.
“We had four or five new players to integrate into the group and they are well embedded now with how we play and what we are trying to do.
“It’s important we don’t get carried away, we are only just in September, but we are doing well and just need to keep it going.”
A period of cup competitions are next up for Bankies who face Caledonian Locomotives in the South Challenge Cup this weekend before hosting Girvan in the Scottish Cup.
The Loco’s were on the wrong end of a heavy 8-0 scoreline against Whitletts Victoria on Saturday but Moff knows first hand how difficult their opponents can be to break down.
He explained: “We played them in pre-season and they were really well organised and it was a difficult night for us.
“I would hope now we are into our season and have sharpened up then we can pose more of a threat but like any other game against lower league opposition we need to be cautious that we aren’t being too arrogant or getting ahead of ourselves.
“We had one of our team at the game watching them and we’ll go through the analysis of that this week, obviously they lost a lot of goals so there will be weaknesses as to where we can get at them on our own pitch.”
Kick-off at Holm Park on Saturday is at 2:00pm.
