Local gymnastics team win 19 Scottish Champion titles

Dynamite Gymnastic Club attended the Scottish National Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling Championships in Dundee last weekend where they entered gymnasts in every category and ended up walking away with nearly 20 titles.

The annual event attracts talent from across the country and has multiple age group categories and disciplines.

A total of 19 gymnasts from the Clydebank club earned the coveted title of Scottish Champion in their respective categories.

Gymnasts from Dynamite competed in Dundee last weekend (Image: Supplied) The champions ranged from beginners in the sport to seasoned athletes, all of whom displayed incredible skill, precision, and athleticism in their performances in order to win their category.

Gymnasts competed in every available category (Image: Supplied) Charlotte Hamilton, the team's tumble coach who recently won Scottish Gymnastics Young Coach of the Year has remarked on her joy of seeing her pupils succeed.

She said: “The kids couldn’t have done any better or tried any harder and that really shows with the results. As coaches, we could not have asked for anything more. They are a great group of kids and deserve every bit of success.”

Nadine Boyd, whose daughter Ella competed in all three disciplines of trampoline, double mini-trampoline and tumbling said: “The way the coaches support their gymnasts is so wonderful and we are incredibly grateful to the club for that.

"Ella had the best time and that is because of the fantastic club atmosphere at Dynamite where all the gymnasts support and cheer on each other.”

The club is already looking forward to future competitions, where they hope to add more titles to their growing list of accomplishments.

They offer classes for children from the age of three and are open to all regardless of their age or experience level.
