Clydebank boss Gordon Moffat insists his side being drawn against Hibernian in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup is a reward for all those involved with the club.
A brace from Nicky Little against Highland League side Buckie Thistle on Saturday put Bankies in the hat for Monday evening’s draw where they were handed a tie against the Easter Road side next month.
After the visitors were reduced to ten men on the stroke of half time, Little lashed home the opener on 67 minutes after a neat touch from Lee Gallacher before ‘Skip’ added the second from the penalty spot five minutes later, with Buckie shown another red card in the build-up.
Moff was pleased to see his side take the game to Buckie after they were given a man advantage and was delighted for his players to be drawn against one of the countries top sides.

Speaking to the Post, he said: “I didn’t think we played amazing – our first half performance was decent and we were in control of the game but we never hit the heights that we did against Broxburn a couple of weeks before.
“The red card changes the game because it’s right before half-time and it’s roles reversed to the Largs fixture earlier in the season where we had a man sent off so we knew it was going to be difficult and we had to move the ball well.
“It was on us to go and force the pace and the players were excellent with their use of the ball, decision making and we really moved them about.
“The second red card kills the game and it was a really harsh decision on Buckie but we were well in control of the game anyway.
“I’ve said to the players every single round that this is the one tournament that you don’t know where it’s going to lead, every other competition we are in we know are going to be against teams from in and around our level but the excitement with this tournament is you don’t know where you could end up. To be drawn against Hibs is an amazing tie.
“You don’t know what ground you might end up at or what team you will play and it could be an experience you don’t forget for the rest of your careers and it turns out we’ve landed one of those games. It’s probably one of the top five or six biggest clubs in the country.
“The players deserve it for all of the hard work they have put in.
“When you set out on that journey for your SFA license, these are the ties you dream of.
“The board and the supporters will be really happy with it so it’s something to look forward to.”
It’s a swift return to reality for Clydebank who welcome First Division side St Roch’s to Holm Park on Saturday for a third round West of Scotland Cup tie.
Moff admits he will need to bring the players back down to earth after the excitement of Saturday and the Hibernian draw, and insists that Candy will get his sides full respect.
He added: “We’ve got a lot of work to do and we can’t take our eye off the ball because that’s when you pay the penalty.
“We’ll be doing the same preparation that we did for Buckie at the weekend and that we’ll do for Hibs when we get ready for St Roch’s on Saturday because that’s the way we work.”
Kick-off at Holm Park on Saturday is 1:30pm.
